Ally Secures Purchase Order from Miso Robotics - Ally Robotics

"Ally Robotics is excited to share that it received a purchase order for 100 Ally Arms from Miso Robotics, a company specializing in robotic automation for restaurant kitchens.
Miso Robotics is revolutionizing the restaurant and prepared food industries with innovative robotics solutions. Founded with a mission “to use technology to empower chefs to make food perfectly and consistently, at prices anyone can afford,” Miso enables restaurants to increase labor productivity, reduce costs and drive profitability, while improving food quality, consistency and safety.
Miso needed an arm that would propel its mission forward while helping solve the enormous labor issue in the restaurant industry at scale. While robotic arms are not an innovative new technology, the ones on the market today are big, heavy and built for large-scale manufacturing.
Mike Bell, CEO of Miso Robotics found himself disappointed by the lack of robotic arms for midmarket applications. “There’s plenty if you want to have a robotic arm operate in a surgical environment, you can find those. They’re very slow, very precise, and very expensive. But there was this gap in the marketplace for an application like Miso’s. We need an arm that can work fast with relative precision. It can’t be too expensive and we need a ton of them,” said Bell.
They needed a purpose built arm. But they weren’t in the position to build it in-house. “It was not anything we ever thought about or considered doing in-house. It was too much to birth. Ally came along and we quickly fell into the realization that we shared the vision and identification of the opportunity,” said Bell."
