Right there with you. Also 31, and it never really hit me until recently. I live in LA and dating here is an absolute chore.

I’ve had unrequited love, been in situationships, but just haven’t been with anyone long term. The closest was a toxic LDR which was on and off for over a year.

I think my lack of success stems from the fact that have issues with giving people time to grow on me. If we don’t vibe off the bat, I kind of just write them off and would rather not give the person false hope or waste their time.

I know it’s something I need to change but, I’ve had that undeniable connection with others (timing was always shit) so I want to believe I’ll find it with someone else again. Lol, sooner than later, I hope.

Basically, my issue is part of me wants to give people I don’t click with a shot and the other doesn’t see the point in wasting both our time. Sigh.
