Specifically on transgenderism, environmental cues dynamically alter the phenotype of a developing fetus, and this process is still not well understood. Ben stands on stage arguing with 18 year olds to assert that “science” says that transgenderism is a mental disorder. He references how this was the consensus in the 70’s. Scientific consensus changes when sufficient evidence to the contrary is presented. So citing science from the 70’s that has since been somewhat disregarded isn’t valid to any degree. It’s akin to saying “scientifically women aren’t as smart since the diameter of their heads is shorter on average than tar of a man”. Obviously this has been a widely debunked claim, but was considered “science” at one point in history.

So for you to assert that you “understand basic science” is just false.
