Am I being to picky or should I bring my car back. I got tints 3 weeks ago now and I brought it to tint world and paid $500 there's imperfections on every window and on the inside the film is scratched from what looks like the squeegee. I've had tints for cheaper and looked better.

Go to each window that was tinted and carefully exam it.. then take pictures of each discrepancy and write the list them out. I'm sort of ADHD about this stuff so it really helps me to be organized before going in and talking to them.

Once you're ready, go back to the shop and speak with the manager. Go to each window and show them the issues and have a copy of the list so that you can go over it.

Let them know you're not happy with it and that you're hoping they can make this right. I rarely ask for a complete refund as the shop takes a loss so instead I typically explore options where they make it right. But you need to be realistic about your expectations. Quality isn't cheap and if you went that route you're going to have deal with the consequences.

But before you go in, what do you want to happen?

  • Full or Partial Refund?
  • Discount off this tint or a future job?
  • Tint removal with or without a new reinstall?

Regardless of what you want you still need to be reasonable and courteous about all of these things.
