it happens quite a lot in other games but osrs is one of the only games without a proper in game appeal system

and it simply has NO appeal system if you're perm banned, you're just fucked unless your reddit post is up voted, which is pathetic.

Also yes it does happen in other games but no where near to the extent, Path of Exile automatically locks your account and requires you to enter a code (either from your email or phone IIRC) if you log in from another location. Also a post about an account being hacked is legit NEVER posted on reddit or complained about in game, i would say it does rarely happen.

I specifically use PoE since it would have the same appeal for hackers as runescape does (everything can be bought with currency, and hacking a high profile account "could" net you tens of thousands through RMT).

Also in runescape your account can get locked by a troll posting on twitter(happen to sick nerd like 4 times?) That is just quite pathetic, does runescape have any account protection?

Seriously i have never seen a worse account protection system in any other game.
