Amazon Outage

Pretty sure I just selected the flair from the list the sub allows. I chose it because I've been in IT for a very long time and I've worn a lot of hats over the last 3 decades. These days I mostly do endpoint management but I've done everything from DBA work, email administration, telecom management, website design, whatever was needed of me at the time. I am considered a subject matter expert on several technologies, with a deep mastery of those, and then there are others where I "get by" (but I suppose I could become an expert if the situation called for it or if I had any interest).

As for how it's worked out? I work for a huge global company where I'm valued by my bosses and nobody cares where I am or what hours I put in as long as I keep moving projects into the completed column. I often spend months on the road and I've been in our offices maybe two or three times in the last six years. Overall, I can't complain.
