American here. As an average mexican, are the cartels as prominent & scary as they seem online?

First of all, you can introduce yourself like "I'm from the US" or something like that, this is a mexican subreddit, you can't come here and appropriate the continent's name. We get it, your country has no name, we get it but you can't take that name when we are more Americans than the genocide colonizers from USA

Answering you question: yes carteles are that bad as news says, probably even worse, in some places you can see trucks carrying dead children bodies without organs but it is obviously Mexico's fault, has no relation with the US citizens buying the drugs or the illegal organs, is obviously is not related with the US government organizations giving money to cartels or the US guns companies selling military class guns illegally to Mexico
