That's a prediction but I don't think it's the right one. Digital is better for the following reasons, at lease if you're environmentally concious. It doesn't have to be produced in a factory that emits carbon monoxide or other toxic fumes and gasses I to the air. The product doesn't end up in one of earth's many already overflowing landfills when you inevitably throw it away. It doesn't need to be transported via ocean or by highway reducing co2 emissions and keeping our waters more clean. It doesn't require the labor of someone in china or an unionized US factory getting paid below a living wage. The move to digital is the right one for many reasons. Nostalgia and wanting to own a material object are.not good reasons to keep destroying the planet.

Everything is going digital. And that's only phase 1.
