There’s only really a few teams who can have the financial capability and Champions League status to sign Bellingham in the summer:

United PSG City Newcastle Madrid

I don’t think he’ll want to go to another country at this stage in his career, if he’s going to PSG or Madrid one day then it’ll be later on in his career when he’s established. So I think he’ll be coming to the PL.

City could look to bring him in as a midfield option, but they already have great midfielders and I can’t see Bellingham starting every game ahead of De Bruyne etc. I think he’ll want to be a regular starter and not sat on the bench wasting potential (see Kalvin Phillips.)

Newcastle are an interesting one, they obviously have shitloads of money to spend, and are looking likely top 4 contenders. They’ve already got a fairly established midfield but Bellingham would walk right into that. I just wonder if hes willing to risk going to Newcastle as they’re not guaranteed to do well in the future and also is he willing to live in or around Newcastle? He grew up in Stourbridge and his family still live there, Manchester is only 94.6 miles away from Stourbridge, Newcastle is 229.6 miles.

For the reasons above, plus the fact we’re in need of a midfielder and he’s young and we have a fairly old midfield, I’d say it’s quite reasonable to assume we have a good chance at signing Bellingham this summer. Unless City or Newcastle or maybe even Bayern offer him a load of money we can’t compete with, I can’t see anywhere else he’ll realistically end up.
