Any advice on how to get better?

My advice is, try a really different angle for a bit.

For example, you could do some transcribing (starting simple of course, but progressing). And/or learning songs directly from the original player in video format (assuming possible, wrt viewing angles and so forth). And/or string-skipping scales/arpeggios/solos, if you haven’t got to those just yet.

Likewise, drop 2 / drop 3 / drop 4 voicings. Spread triads. “Jazz” alterations / scales, one by one (e.g., m7b5, 7b9, maj7#5, etc. / melodic minor & its modes, whole-half and half-whole diminished, etc.)

It’s a process that takes time… well, obviously. I know you know that. But it’s crucial to keep in mind, that progressing even just a tiny bit of a day/week still counts for a lot, in the end.
