Be careful if you do start RSing, get on Jellyneo and look at prices. I'm sure you know how much stuff is deflating. Items that used to be worth close to 1,000,000 have gone down closer to 20,000. R90 items have totally lost value unless they're in the 97-100 rarity range, and ONLY the main shops really have much of anything left of value in them. It's a tricky game to play right now.
I'm waiting until the new app and other measures bring more users into the site. The wider demand for the items should regulate prices. Also a bunch of n00bs have been rsing now that they have a shot.
As a result a lot of people who never restocked before are slashing the throats of other people on prices. I've seen shops about it with little blurbs like 'Honest Restock Prices and talking about how now that RSing has been fixed they can edge the greedy restockers out of Neopia'.
That's always seemed pretty rich to me considering there were pretty much a handful of players getting any items out there at all, at great risks to themselves. All that space clearing you had to do, generally cost about 50 k, and those 'honest players' wouldn't buy a single junk item but sit in there and wait for somebody else to do it.
There's been a long time grudge by regular players against restockers for how the prices are. But the bottom line is if those same people had been helping clear spaces, the rare item shortage would have never happened, and the economy would have been a lot more stable. But when your average restocker was up against clearing spaces and snagging items before an opportunistic n00b got into the store, those prices had to be that high because those very same players complaining about the prices were the ones driving them up. Of course a Sky Full of Stars Background was going to cost over 500,000 if we're spending tens of thousands to get the stock in the store and maybe snag it. They were the ones creating 99% of the risk associated with rsing. It's super annoying.
I haven't played Warcraft 3. My main FPS's are L4D 1 and 2 and Team Fortress 2. Especially Team Fortress 2, all of the neckbeards from gamer gate hang out there and they get SO FUCKING MAD when I go in and shoot their dicks off repeatedly. Then when they get mad enough to get on chat and tell me to fuck off I'm like, "I can't, this is about ethics in multi-player gaming."
I've been a fanatic gamer for years. I do my part to keep the trash out of the community. Gaming used to be such a cool thing to be a part of until the neckbeards got a bee in their buttholes about Anita Sarkeesian.
