Are the free online courses available in the internet that provides certification useful for us in any way ? can it be seen as a plus point while applying for residency ?

I don't know if you are IMG or AMG. I don't know your background. Nor I want to fight you or start a online argument with you. Just want to tell the following.

American students, graduates, imgs who are working as a research fellow gets access to their institutional intranet website and they can learn all these online courses for free. You could learn about ventilators by google,by reading any free material that available online. These intranet courses may make you updated and that's why American students or graduates or residents do these. But there are lot more important things to mention on your Resume rather than this online course and you took. They don't know if you took the course or your roommate or your brother. They don't know who took the test on course completion. So they lose authenticity and if you including them in your CV makes you desperate.

Note: I don't force you to take my advice. Free world and it's your CV. You can do whatever you want. Just don't reply me bashing with negative comments, I won't reply. But they might enrich your knowledge, unfortunately not your CV.
