Are we sure that "frankocean.com" is even his official website? I thought he operates through his tumblr and here is what came up last time I tried to get onto the site a few minutes ago:

Let's look at what we already know:

When you put the street address registered to frankocean.com into Google it comes up with results suggesting "these are the people selling your info to the fake debt scammers".

https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=14747+N+Northsight+Blvd+Suite+111%2C+PMB+309&oq=14747+N+Northsight+Blvd+Suite+111%2C+PMB+309&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l3.414j0j7&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=91&ie=UTF-8

Frank's never officially mentioned the site. Neither has his team.

Other websites are registered to companies. IE - Kanyewest.com is registered to Universal / Island Def Jam. Frankocean.com is private.

All the little bullshit tweaks they've made so far, and gone back and forth on, and the placeholder bunny video, and placeholder penguin pic, that's all half-assed. Those are tweaks you should be doing and testing offline and not making live. It's unprofessional. I don't think Def Jam or Frank's team would do something like that.

The clothing uploaded yesterday was strange. Especially those $50 Vans because (A) the designer's name was spelt wrong and (B) those designer's shoes usually retail for around $300. Some people managed to buy these items using paypal and they're now linking out to

If someone bought this site years ago - it was registered in 2010 - there's nothing to stop them from keeping control of it, whether Def Jam like it or not. Maybe that's the reason the album drop is taking so long because they're in the process of buying out the site?

Just a theory.
