Frank Ocean Is Finally Free, Mystery Intact

I belive what makes him special is his ability to be real throughout his art and life. Whether I listen to his music or read an interview of his, he's the same person. An absolute down to earth soul with incredible amounts of knowledge and experience. The way he treats his craft is inspiring, to meticously plan his way out of a contract and win back his music with his own money is a triumph. Since Blonde & Endless were released, it's been interesting for me to piece together all the question marks we had during his time of reclusivness. Now we know why White Ferrari didn't come out at the end of 2015 like it was supposed to, because there were so many versions of it he must've been skeptical.

I remember reading a piece about someone who was neighbors with Frank in London and he discussed about how Frank used to play him his music and knock on his door in the middle of the night asking "if this is good?". He talks about flying to London, a city he didn't know anyone in and this makes sense, he needed to find sanity, a place to breathe.

I've been a fan of Frank for years now and it's been an honour to break his music down piece by piece and knowing that he takes it so seriously makes me appreciate him more. Listening to the Endless instrumentals reminds me of all the fan spottings we had in London, the once in a couple months update tweets. It's been such a rollercoaster ride to get to Blonde & Endless and what's even better is that he released it under his own will and standards.

Lastly, it breaks my heart to see that he still hasn't found love. He knows how much money he has, how many cars he owns but grasping love seems to be out of his reach and I hope someday he can find that one person who fullfils him the way he does us.
