I asked Nims where he learned to endure pain & suffering

I can understand him to a degree, without a doubt the Nepalese community has been left in the shadows for much of mountaineering history, while rich westerners got the attention for their climbs. So i can understand that chip on the shoulder and showing the world how badass they are at climbing

But with that said, I’ve had the pleasure to meet a few Sherpa’s and it’s pretty clear Nims has an ego like no other. Sometimes i want to give him the benefit of the doubt and chalk it up to translation issues, but then he continues to say things that make me cringe

At the end of the day we just have to accept that he’s a badass climber with a huge ego, he’s human
