yeah and can’t imagine the rate of technological diversity/growth that would be caused by the creation of true ‘artificial’ intelligence, i think humanity is only one of the earlier steps on a much more cosmic staircase, and the next steps don’t look as big as the last ones, but eh

about earth becoming single-celled again, that would suck, but i’m certain this isn’t the only place with intelligence out here, just the numbers alone tempt the thought. the part of the universe we can see is equivalent to a beetle climbing up a blade of grass, and concluding that what it can see is all there is, there are so many rocks left unturned on this beach, and there are so many more beaches
