Okay, I think I see where we are not agreeing on the mod's response. Verbatim, what they said was: "you were well aware that your comment broke the rules when posting."

I was not "well aware" that my comment broke the rules. I read this as they are accusing me of maliciousness, whereas if I'm interpreting your response correctly you are accusing me of ignorance. If this is what they meant, then I will own my ignorance of how far they are interpreting what is "Welcoming." However, I still disagree with the accusation I acted maliciously.

I can't help that someone chose to interpret my comment as scrutinizing the presence of a trans person when I explicitly explained that I was scrutinizing the post, though. Hence, ignorance, not maliciousness.
