It's strange that we just take it for granted that insurance companies routinely screw us over in this country in order to maximize profits. We roll our eyes. (Murica!)

But I feel like sometimes when I point out that maybe the pharmaceutical industry it's out to also maximize profits, including even over prescribing something like opioids that might not actually be necessary, then it's conspiracy and the eyes roll again but this time for a different reason.

I and all my friends and coworkers are double vaxxed, and most boosted. Actually I thank god, or maybe I think science that the vaccines work. One of my dear friends who's in his 70s got covid and I was scared, but even he just shrugged It off.

I guess if I had a 6 month old baby, I just wouldn't be rushing to the office for this shot. But I respect any parent who makes that decision for her family.
