To answer your first question, I don't know. I don't have a running list of all persons who have been convicted and executed of criminal charges in my head. I'm also not going to waste my time finding someone just to prove an insignificant point. I'm just explaining that there is absolutely no right guaranteed by the Constitution or affirmed by the Supreme Court to be questioned. If you think there is, you misunderstand the United State legal system.

And I did explain what he meant by "read them the rights." He was referring, incorrectly, to Miranda warnings. They aren't rights, they have never been rights, and they will never be rights.

You're missing the whole point of what I was explaining. If we got rid of Miranda warnings in America, it would be a great tragedy. The legal system would continue with people being convicted much more often.

But if we get rid of due process, which Trump was advocating, we might as well throw out the entire justice system and the important parts of the Constitution. That would mean the following would be taken away:

  • Right to due process
  • Right to equal protection
  • Right to a trial
  • Right to a speedy trial
  • Right to confront your witnesses
  • Right to habeas corpus
  • Right to be represented by counsel

Actually, I really can't name all of them... there's just so many rights that would be thrown out the window if procedural due process were taken away.
