my cat got pregnant. much like people have symptoms of pregnancy big shocker! so do animals.

took her to the vet to abort.

vet did NOT oblige and said ultrasound was not necessary because he did not feel any kittens

we believe this was due to her size and being early in her pregnancy. we believed the vet that she wasn’t pregnant. a month later she gained a significant amount of weight and was for sure pregnant but she was too far along to abort (i called multiple vets and no one would do it) and i had no choice but to let her have the kittens and rush her to emergency vet if needed.

i can PROVE 100% she was pregnant because i took her to the vet late october just before halloween and she delivered december 27th. cat pregnancy terms are. little over 3 months. she delivered close to 2 months later.

she wasn’t feral and neither was the boy. i adopted them both from families who had a litter of kittens by their indoor cats just like i did.

we assumed one of the kittens died because the mother carried him incorrectly because she was young and he had a puncture wound in his neck.
