The higher I climb success wise, the more wary I become. I can see why the rich isolate themselves. I am still a survivalist and prefer to keep my own company. For the simple reason that I need no one for success. That tells me a lot about the human condition. Given a choice, we would live socially managed lives as opposed to being open to anyone who passed through. Being a loner by choice can be a sign of some hidden ability or strength. The problem I find these days is managing my social life. For the moment I keep it transactional. I have yet to find anyone worth the effort of befriending but superficial friendships fill a gap....when theres the promise of money in the air or its a business relationship plus I only date transactionally. It would take a very rational woman to get close to me...people can be very value adding. The peace and quiet that comes with this life is immeasurable.
