Can we discuss the state of this sub?

Absolutely agree on your points. I mean, I think there is always the risk of subs being too policed instead of just letting the upvotes decide but I think it's getting out of hand. The sub just becomes more watered down with not very meaningful content from people, I would guess, who are not really interested in the language. I would love to be proven wrong by someone who posted on here saying "I learned the alphabet how's my handwriting?" to "look at the progress I've made 1 year later."

And to tack onto your comment about handwriting, let me just ask people who are actually living in a Russian speaking country this question. How useful is it to actually learn to write and read in cursive? I'm talking like "daily life communicating with friends, family and coworkers" sort of utility here.
