Who here has a job they thrive in? Looking for advice

Politics.

I work in Ottawa in an advocacy job, and there are SO many ADHD people in politics - political staffers, journalists, lobbyists, even elected officials. If you're hyperactive and extroverted, it's the place to be.

It's fast, it's never the same, there's lots of running around and being on social media. There's always crises where you can take charge and shine, pattern recognition is an asset, as is the ability to mirror someone's feelings or emotions.

Most people only stay in a position for two years or so anyways before moving to something a different job in politics, so a typical ADHD job-hopping is normal or even rewarded.

My day will go from planning out our "ask" on a piece of legislation, sending out tweets about a scandal that affects our base, meeting with a MP about something else, then going to a social event to shake hands, talk to people, and take pictures for social media. And then tomorrow will be completely different again.
