If you want to truly unlock the potential of your god form, you need to:

1.) join a pantheon

2.) make friends on skyforge from in-game LFG

3.) make friends from Reddit or discord

Either way you pretty much want to join a pantheon.

The distortions (epic weapons, artifacts, brooches, and bracelets) and avatar (mount, avatar trophy) do not have an in-game group finder, so you'll have to make/find a group on your own.

You need the avatar trophy to unlock other god trees after you finish junior god, and that's where your power actually lies.

It's also worth noting that the last few campaign missions can be a bit of a hassle, so you might want a friend for this.

Of course you can always ignore all of that and just play solo, but you'll miss out on a lot of fun aspects of the game.

TL;DR There are a lot of aspects of the game that require you to form your own team, but if you don't care about being top tier/maximizing your character then you might be fine.

Edit: before you say it's stupid they don't have lfg for the avatar and distortions, you would spend hours in them and not beat them without a full team of competent people who've been briefed on the mechanics. There are also no real requirements for going into a distortion so it would be a low level clusterf**k
