Can you manage by just using the Electrify America chargers (weekly up to 80%) versus having a level 2 charger at home? I would have level 1 available at home.

we're in an old house with certain electric panel issues (level 2 will also cost us ~$8k) AND we're in a midsize/rural city with little electric infrastructure. there is only one EA charging station about 20min from us, and one public (free) level 2 charger in town. nevertheless, we've had the car several months now and based on our habits everything has worked out great:

weekdays we level 1 charge all night, usually charges enough to counteract the amount used from the usual daily commuting (~13 hours charge time, 50-60miles daily use). if we go out to eat downtown, can charge a bit extra at the l2 charger.

on weekends if we stay in town, there's enough extra charging time at home to more than make up any difference or charge from any out of the ordinary errands etc.

if we go out of town to the north (usually the case), then the EA charger is on the way. if we have a lot of driving not to the north, then the EA station is out of the way, but still it's at a walmart so allows us to combine errands. has surprisingly not been a hassle at all so far.

this just to say that if there are EA chargers near you and you have a regular wall outlet you can charge at night, you're golden. exceptions being if you're an uber driver or something.
