To be totally honest, this really resonates with me. It’s not a money thing, it’s a lifestyle thing. Life in Australia is indeed a privilege. Depending on who you surround yourself with, a lot of the points you make may really ring true. They definitely did for me.

If you enjoy travel and adventure outside of Australia, it’s a hard place to live considering distance. I decided to move overseas to The Netherlands to explore a different way of life. My salary is a bit lower, but I get 90 days of paid leave per year, have made amazing friends and am able to explore so much more.

The culture here is really different, even at work, and in general it just doesn’t feel like a rat race. I’d see a therapist and try to change things up. Not every circle in Australia is like this.

No use being in a situation where you’re not happy.
