Can someone provide context?

the area for which i live redditors. Is that its pretty much impossible to walk anywhere without driving. no sidewalks (only in residential areas and some surrounding areas after that)

the closest thing in walking distance where im at is pretty much Home Depot or Whataburger though you may have to cross the street without a crosswalk to get to the Home Depot. Though i am pretty sure there is a crosswalk just a little further away from the Home Depot store if that's your designation.

Too make matters worse there is no bicycle lanes at all i think this is pretty typical of American Suburbs to have no bicycle lanes but anyway.

So this makes Driving a more feasible option, since most of the commercial areas are farther away from where i live.

the only buses they drive around my area are School buses, to bus kids too and from school. Other than that no public transportation options.

And yet we pay like an increased in property taxes and sales taxes in this area to pay for schools and roads.

So yeah, were pretty much forced to drive in my area.
