Lost Causers in 3, 2, 1...

What a dumpster fire as usual. First off, you got the meme wrong. It’s hard to read or listen to anyone who took an elective history class before 2000 try to drop some knowledge bomb about what they learned in class today.

Secondly can we stop virtue signaling please? If you were born in the south, had any means, you’d be fighting for the south. Implying that everyone in the south owned slaves is wrong. That “you of means who owned slaves” and would be a horrible murderous tyrant is also not historically accurate. Slaves were extremely valuable.

If you were a German under the age of 40 in 1940, I’m sorry, but you’d be for Hitler. That he used eugenics and deplorable, repugnant means to murder also doesn’t negate that the Allie’s strangled Germany with reparations, guilt and shame. If not Hitler, another would most certainly have come up. I digress.

Pretending that everyone in the North was in it for altruism and abolishment is simply rewriting history because they won. That tides and attitudes turned towards that stance later also doesn’t address the same phenomenon that occurred in the South. The majority of slaves were owned by a minority of southerners. It’s not like how everyone has a vacuum cleaner.

Also, Wikipedia and other “sources” pulling from recent modern historical sources are completely corrupted and assert the laughable notion that the North was 100% in the “right” and the South was 100% “wrong”. Does anyone believe this anymore about everything?

This. is no longer addressed in classrooms anymore. We will need another 100 years before the books change again to accommodate nuance again.
