Can we talk about delusional buyers for a minute?

I once was selling a very, very old taxidermy mount that had a lot of issues, you know, given its age and an older woman wanted to buy it, we both drove over 2 hours to meet and she was a very "fancy" woman (you can imagine) and when she saw the mount, she said it was nothing like what she wanted as she wanted a full blown peacock mount. (Peacocks average 1-4k, and this was a white grouse. i was selling it for $150.) She wasnt hateful, but obviously was a bit annoyed that it was in antique condition, you know, being over 80 years old. It was very extra. We ended up meeting again with a different mount (still not a peacock but a MARVELOUS ringneck pheasant in flight. absolutely stunning!) and she VERY hesitantly bought it. i only made like $30 because of how much gas cost to drive BOTH ways BOTH times
