MAIN RULES
Each player begins the Duel with 2000 Life Points.
Direct attacking the opponent's life points is not allowed.
Only one monster is allowed to declare an attack per turn.
Players can summon any level monster without a Tribute.
A Main Deck must consist of exactly 40 cards. The Extra Deck must consist of 15 cards
or less. * When a monster is destroyed by a card effect, the controller of that card receives
damage equal to half of that monster's ATK (this is called Destruction Damage). * When an attack gets deflected (example by a card like "Holy Barrier - Mirror Force"),
it is treated as an opponent's attack. * A monster that is treated as an Equip Card is still treated as a monster and
therefore can be used for something like Ritual Summons. * The Duel must began with either 10 Terrain Cards placed on the field OR 1 "Unique
Terrain" Card. * Each player can and must summon a monster during their turn. If a player can't summon
for 3 turns in a row he/she lose the Duel. * If five of your monsters are destroyed in five consecutive turns and all were in
Defense Mode, and during those five turns you do not destroy any monsters on your
opponent's side of the field, at the end of the fifth turn, you lose the game. * If a monster with a Terrain Power Bonus is battling with another monster that is
equipped with a Equip Card, the ATK/DEF increase of that Equip Card is negated.
MONSTER SPECIFICS * Regular Monster Cards are divided into Normal (Yellow frame) and Effect (Orange
frame), and they are placed in the Main Deck. * Special Monster Cards are divided into Yugo ("Fusion", Purple frame), Gishiki
("Ritual", Blue frame) and Nomi ("Unique", Red frame) so far, and they are placed in
the Extra Deck. * Normal Monsters can have "Abilities" (which are not considered an Effect), and are
listed below as Keywords. * Effect Monsters can also have "Abilities" but they're not listed as such in the card
and are treated as part of the Effect. * Yugo Monsters (Fusion Monsters) are treated as separate monsters for some card
effects and attacks.
SPELL/TRAP SPECIFICS * Spell Cards are divided into: Normal (Speed Spell 2), Equip (Speed Spell 2),
Continuous (Speed Spell 1), Ritual (Speed Spell 1). * Ritual Spell Cards summon the Gishiki Monsters (Ritual Monsters) from the Extra Deck. * Trap Cards are divided into: Normal (Speed Spell 2), Continuous (Speed Spell 2),
Counter (Speed Spell 3). * A Normal Trap Card is automatically activated if its 'Condition' is met. The player
has no control over this activation.
TERRAIN SPECIFICS * Terrain Cards are divided into: Normal, Unique, Special. * Normal Terrains are placed on the field in each Monster Card Zone. * Unique Terrains are placed aside the field and when they're active no other Terrain
can be played unless the card says otherwise. * Special Terrains are placed on the field as Normal Terrains but can only be placed
under certain circunstances.
