The Characters & Cast of Requiem - Vol 1

The Journal of Valinor Willowshade

Valinor Willowshade

Tirdas the 14th of Morning Star - 4E 201 She calls to me... what? Who's there! What is happening to my mind... the dreams, I... I can't get them out of my head.

Fredas the 17th of Morning Star - 4E 201 The Twilight Sepulcher, I need to find it, but why? Yes, she tells me to follow her voice to the Ebonmere and there, is where I will find my destiny. The Lady of Shadows, the Nightmistress, calls to me.

Loredas the 8th of First Seed - 4E 201 My name is Valinor Willowshade, a lowly and humble Bosmer living in a forested tree hung village in Valenwood. I have a confession to make, for the past several months I have been waking in a cold sweat to a sweet voice of sorrow and uncertainty. I believe the voice to be that of the Daedric Prince - Nocturnal herself. But why does she call me to Skyrim, to the portal of Evergloam?

Morndas the 21st of Rain's Hand - 4E 201 It's true, I'm not happy living here. The Green Pact makes no sense to me, and the general populous disagree with the Rite to Theft, and how I do long to adventure and explore Nirn. Would I be missed if I just left? If I packed my things and lived off the land, in a tent made of furs and sticks? I think I could be happy that way, like the traveling merchants of Elsweyr.

Morndas the 28th of Rain's Hand - 4E 201 Okay, I've convinced myself to leave. I don't even think I'll tell my family or friends. It's fine, I won't be missed. The wonders and adventures of things to come will certainly replace the sorrow I may feel in my heart after leaving home. I never enjoyed the humidity in this dense forest much anyways.

Middas the 7th of Second Seed - 4E 201 I just crossed over the river leaving Valenwood behind. I've arrived in Cyrodiil for the first time. As I approach the grand city of Skingrad, I feel my heart exploding with excitement. I spoke with some rather shady characters today and they pointed me in the direction of Riften to seek what I search for. I do not wish to be too hasty in my travels so I think I'll traverse this town for some time before moving on. The local fauna have changed and I feel myself drawn to exam the flora and plants. The differences are stark in contrast and my alchemical curiosity has me tasting each and every one. I'm certain my knowledge in such matters will expand by the time I reach Riften.

Morndas the 9th of Midyear - 4E 201 I've left my temporary shack just outside of Skingrad. Today I reached Lake Rumare where I dipped my toes in the cool water. This beautiful vast body of water surrounds the splendid Imperial City and the White-Gold Tower. What a beauty to exam! This tower was not built with magic but rather the rough hands of an enduring people. These Imperials are indeed impressive and I find the lot of them to be rather intelligent and tolerant of my kind. I should have explored these lands sooner.

Tirdas the 15th of Sun's Height - 4E 201 Taking the Silver Road north towards Bruma has indeed been an interesting adventure in of itself. I've the days growing shorter and the cold nights taking hold. As a denizen of much warmer conditions, my elven skin has noticed the change in temperature. With a bow in hand, I've taken to hunting the local wildlife, not so much for food but rather their furs. Of course, I always use the entire animal, not so much for the Green Pact, but rather out of force of habit. The rules of Valenwood don't apply here and I've enjoyed freedoms that are a first for my kind. I love these new lands but do feel a slight ache in my heart for my homeland. The dreams have subsided, no doubt because I'm following the Nightmistress' wishes.

Sundas the 17th of Last Seed - 4E 201 Today proved a disaster. After traversing the Jerall mountains, I had just crossed over the border into Skyrim when I stumbled across a group of Nordic warriors wearing blue heavy armor. We were located just outside of the grand city of Falkreath when an opposing faction of Imperials ambushed this group of warriors. A large scale fight was about to ensue when the leading of this group or Nords demanded his men put down his arms. The Imperials arrested and detained these men along with me as well. I tried to explain to the Imperials that I just arrived in Skyrim but they bound my hands and hurried me on to a cart with some other men. Rumors of our execution have been whispered past my ears and I fear I may never reach my destination of Riften or find the meaning of the Nightmistress' calls. If I somehow survive this, I will certainly write in my journal once more. My the Lady of Shadows rescue me from this terrible fate.
