I agree with you. I have been freelancing for almost 10 years. Of late there have been more people wanting to join the freelancing space because of the autonomy freelance offers compared to traditional jobs. More so with the emergence of remote working and COVID. Thus, most people nowadays are just looking at freelance through employment lenses. Back then, to decide to do freelancing meant you were sure about taking a risk to look for clients. Nobody owed you anything. The relationships I had with clients were that of a business and a professional who will assist my business. It was more friendly and meaningful. Nowadays even the clients' attitude has kinda changed. Anyway, maybe freelancing is going through its evolution.
