***IF YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE SPECULATION ABOUT FERNS HEALTH OR DEVELOPMENT LEAVE***

I think that if a parent chooses to put their child into the public eye on the internet, they have chosen to take the good and the bad on behalf of their child. I don’t like all the negative implications of that, but that is their choice to make as a parent. If you don’t want your child judged by the general public, don’t post them. What is deemed appropriate speculation will be regulated by users and mods the forums in which the discussions happen.

I’m tired of people saying things along the lines of “we need to think about what will happen when Fern grows up and finds this Reddit post.” Y’all. He’s not even 2. You think in 8-10 years (or however long until he has unrestricted access to the internet) that a) these specific subs will not have been deleted b) he will go through YEARS of posts to get to these and c) they will even begin to approach the damage inflicted by his parents? Come on.

P.S. I appreciate you pointing this issue out. I would like to see something general about things like this added to the group info or rules so these posts aren’t necessary.
