Hello. Anyone else experience this when trying to get HRT?

I didn't get the being believed thing, but definitely getting the diagnosis was relieving, since a lot of doctors still get pretty cagey with this stuff, and I ended up with a letter stating that my presentation was striking, that I satisfy all 6 of the DSM-5 criteria, that I have a very well formed understanding of the realities of transitioning, and that it would be in my best interests to transition with as few additional delays as possible.

My psychiatrist wrote in my letter that they sometimes find the DSM-5 criteria restrictive, I suspect because it requires "marked incongruences" and "strong desires" and so on.

They then went on to write that I satisfy all 6 criteria, have realistic expectations etc, that it would be in my best interests to commence a medical transition with minimal additional delays, etc. While I already knew all of this,
