I've done the numbers myself and Maru is by far the most accomplished player in Starleagues. I have used several different points methods, and it's hard to find one where he doesn't come out on top, even if you discount his 2013 OSL win, which idk why you would but some people do. Idk how to make fancy graphs but here is my spreadsheet:

The question people have is whether it matters that Maru played for a few years before InNo started. I don't think people realize that Maru played in GSL Open Season 1, but then failed to qualify for almost two years. His truly impressive runs didn't start until mid-2013, around the time of the KeSPA switch. He's only actually played in 4 more seasons than InNovation.

Are we going to hold it against him that, at the age of like 14, he failed to qualify for a bunch of tournaments? I don't know. For me, I don't think it matters, because his performance since then has been hella stellar. Of course, then we have to look at results outside of Korea, where Maru sucks. It's complicated!

Oh, and I haven't got around to adding SSL to the sheet but I don't think it would change the math too much. I might be wrong tho. i don't remember who actually won those darned things.

Anyway, the fun is in the discussion, but in my eyes Maru is absolutely the best Starleague player of all time, historically, but outside of that I'm not the man to ask. However, I will say....they're all quite good.
