I really feel like Ye Han didn't deserve any of the shit that came at him. Like, really, what did he do that was so wrong? Nie Li didn't meet him before in his past life? He has a crush on Ye Ziyun? He gave a gift to Ye Ziyun in front of Nie Li? He's somewhat scheming but overall good to both Ye Zong and Ye Ziyun?

Like, the guy told Ye Zong that he'd given up on the city lord position so that Ye Ziyun could have it. Hell, look at it from his perspective. He comes back from harsh training with a gift for his little sister, finds his little sister crashing the welcome back party with some arrogant little prick who's surrounded by attractive girls. Said arrogant prick proceeds to openly mock Ye Han (who doesn't deserve this shit), the arrogant prick then openly causes a huge scene forcing out one of the 3 big families and undermining Ye Han further. Afterwards, the arrogant prick claims Ye Ziyun for himself.

If anything, Ye Han is the one who should be testing Nie Li! No wonder he confronted Nie Li at the school, literally his only interaction with Nie Li displayed Nie Li as some arrogant little shit who wants the girl he has a crush on. OF FUCKING COURSE YE HAN IS PISSED!

I get that Nie Li might want to test the guy's character, but he went way too fucking far, constantly pointing out that Ye Han isn't actually related to Ye Zong, constantly pointing out that he'll never be able to be the city lord despite working so hard for so long to become the city lord, constantly pointing out that Ye Han would never be able to have Ye Ziyun. Literally every single insecurity of Ye Han's was ripped the fuck open by Nie Li for pretty much no reason other than Ye Han slightly bothering Ziyun. That's what this shit is really about, Nie Li got possessive of Ziyun and threw a massive fucking tantrum. It's like Nie Li is unable to have even an iota of empathy for anyone he didn't get attached to in his previous life.
