Casual racism in Korean novels

I feel like I have to correct you there. "[New Life+] Young Again in Another World"(Nidome no Jinsei wo Isekai de) didn't get nuked for killing a whole bunch of Chinese people.

There was a racist(against Chinese) tweet by the author from years back and I believe the first arc of the book had MC killing Chinese people during the war by a sword(katana?) - it's an isekai novel. The point of that arc/scene was to show how awesome the MC is.

But because some of the enemies he(MC) killed were Chinese and someone had dug up old tweets his book deal got canceled, along with the j-novel eng translation deal, and also the anime deal that was under negotiation. Cancel culture basically butchered him.

It's ironic because there are sometimes worse things mentioned in cn novels with no reproductions towards authors.

Btw, the author is the same author as "The Strange Adventure of a Broke Mercenary" which has been popular recently.
