Roman Kingdom lasted 200 years until overthrown by Brutus who founded the Republic. The Republic lasted 482 years until assassination of Julius Caesar. Roman Empire started when Octavian became Emperor Augustus who rule the empire which lasted about 500 years until it split apart eastern and western. Western Roman Empire lasted 400 years until it was overruned by the tribes. Eastern lasted until the fourth crusade, was sacked by the Ottoman Empire. The Roman Empire was said to last forever. Romans were able to defeat powerful societies by themselves. Conquering half of Europe, parts of Africa, touch of the mid-east, and entire Mediterranean Sea through warfare. Julius Caesar created calendar for people of Rome after he died. Month name after him (July) is in favor of his memorable honor.

America was under British rule of thirteen colonies until the revolt (with help from the French) America was divided by Rebels and Loyalists until gain the independence from the British. Then Divided between Federalists and Anti-Federalists over the Articles of Confederation. Anti-Federalists was replaced by Democratic-Republican party, and the Federalists was replaced with the Whigs Party. R-D party was broken apart and thus the Democratic Party in 1789 going against the Whig Party. New party approach occured in 1815 the Republican Party. The political symbols were drawn by father of American cartoons: Thomas Nast. Nast was cartoonist-reporter who came into New York City somewhere in 1860s. By the time in 1872, Nast exposed the corruption in Tammy Hall and William Tweed. We are somehow stuck with these two political parties. Time and time again America was said it is going to collapse. America never really fought by itself. Americans purchase land from the empires. With the exception to Spanish and American War. And Mexican-American War. Texas was nation before it became state in the nation. After a war to gain its independence from the Mexicans.
