Confirmed: online first two weeks.

If people got vaccinated and wore masks and complied the first time, this wouldn't be an issue. Vaccine stop viruses from mutating and masks help limit the spread. Too many people remained unvaxed the first time then we got the delta mutation. Then the anti-vax incorrectly stated "the vaccine doesn't work". No vaccine in history has been designed to completely make someone immune. But rather reduce chances of getting it, reduce symptoms if you do get it, and reduce risk of hospitalizations and death. And if you look at the data - you'll see that it is indeed doing exactly this. The vaccine is designed to fight the dominant strain. Thus, since the vaccine was not designed to primarily fight delta and omricon, you see more breakthrough cases amongst vaccinated individuals hence why the cdc is now reccomendening a booster to better help fight the current dominant strain. Until people either A) get the vaccine and booster, B) get covid and recover thus getting antibodies or C) get Covid and die this will continue to be an issue.

TLDR: it wouldn't be an issue if people did what they were supposed to the first time.
