Confused why most people seem to dislike Stormester

Disclaimer: Everything below is purely my personal opinion and should not necessarily be seen as the general consensus between Danes.

This might not be popular but to provide the other side of the coin, I would say that Lasse Rimmer is not as universally loved as /u/Vorherrebevares would say. This if of course a matter of opinion, but as a Dane myself I was instantly disappointed when I saw Lasse was the Taskmaster because in my mind he is nothing like what I personally believe a Taskmaster should be.

I like Lasse more for his intellect rather than his humor to be honest, I do not really find him that funny. He's brilliant as the host of Jeopardy and shows like that, I think. While Stephen Fry is more like a national treasure in the UK, I would say Lasse doesn't really come close to that status here in Denmark. He's smart and witty, and some people like his comedy. Personally he's kept me from watching Stormester because he almost comes off a little cringy to me, trying to fill the role of someone like Greg Davies.

As for who is the biggest name in comedy in Denmark, I would definitely say that title goes to Anders Matthesen.

I don't know why I'm putting this out there. I'm not usually one for sharing negative points of view and I accept the potential criticism I might get for it. But as a Dane I also know our world is pretty unknown to foreigners who might watch Stormester, so maybe I am just sharing this in order to provide a little more depth and breadth of what Danes might think.
