Convince me to move to St. Johns

Yiiss! There's an abundance of hiking on the Avalon, definitely kayaking near by, and winter you may get out for some snowshoeing and a boil up! Most of us grew up throwing rocks at shit and getting loaded in the woods though. You also don't have to live right in St. John's. The outlining communities are super close with more freedom. Torbay, Portugal Cove, CBS, etc. If you want a more rural atmosphere. My favourite thing to do in summer is go swimming, we have lakes and ponds everywhere. Again, it's usually not the warmest in summer here so you gotta say fuck it and get out and do stuff. Get a rain coat and some wet weather boots. I moved back home after living in Alberta for 12 years. I definitely miss it out there but, my life is much less stressed now. Alberta was literally all work no play for me. I mean. I took advantage of seeing as many bands as I could but, I honestly had no interest in outdoors like I do here in Newfoundland. It was either sweltering hot or ridiculously cold. Prepare for a much slower life. Island life is a thing and you will get chatted up at stores. You're gonna wait in line while some older missus yarns about her grandkid at the til. It's mega mellow here. Anyway, good luck if you do decide. It's definitely not an easy move. I suggest a 2 week trip here before making such a jump. I'll warn you as well. Everyone talks about how friendly we are... It's part true but, mostly were just fuckin nosey b'y. It can be very clicky here and I've read from people who have moved here have a really tough time making new friends. Hell, I'm from here, I live in Central now but grew up in St. John's and I find it difficult.
