It’s not fair, when you wrack your brain for new material and someone just sweeps in and take it all under the false umbrella of being ‘inspired.’ I think people forget what being inspired means. Inspired doesn’t mean pulling from someone’s work and posing it as yours. Inspired is what some people use for “theft.” They hope by saying they were inspired, they’ll get let off the hook for coveting someone’s work. That’s all it is—coveting. Seeing something and wishing you were the one who’d written it. Red-eyes/dry-eyes. Wanty-wanty.

And it annoys me when people say ‘ideas are cheap.’ Damn right it is, that’s why people should go fish for their own ideas and their unique take on ideas and stop pulling points from people’s work then be like: ‘I was inspired.’ No, you’re a thief.
