Veterinarian trying to stay afloat. Please help!

Was it Ross? Just personal curiosity. You may have to move, 1-2 years out you could likely get 75-80k in a low to medium col area if you really look and are willing to go anywhere. My first job in private practice I got 68k but bonused up to 80k on production. I worked circles around the established vets too though and it was a walk in clinic so low client loyalty to any one doc. Banfield isn't great but they do offer health insurance and a 401k so you could even do 1-2 years and then get out. The worst part of your situation is having to pay for health and the student loans. Also consider something like the usda, I think they have a 10 year forgiveness?
