No, we can't cancel everyone's rent because you decided to move home during a lockdown against our advice, the unis advice and the government's advice. And I get to deal with people's parents coming on too, and this morning I even had a welfare officer from a university because "the internet hasn't been working for weeks and it's affecting a student's studies". I'm living in the same building as him and it's working great - I'm guessing he's been giving that excuse to his uni to not be getting assignments done.

You don't understand why I can't wipe your rent even though you have the room until August and you've left all of your things in the room? No, no I can't box it all up and ship it out to you. Oh you're actually still living here but don't want to pay it either? Great, amazing. Why are you asking me how you're supposed to get your things from your room or return your keys because you've gone home across the country?? We've even had requests to get work and assignments out of people's rooms and submit them to their university!
