I could use some advice regarding bedwetting...

The biggest challenge was getting used to going while lying down, in various positions. Going while lying down is very tricky and can be uncomfortable, but forcing yourself to do it, it will get easier. So a lot of the bedwetting training (most of it) comes while you are awake. Wearing? Need to go? Go lie down to go. On your side, on your back, the more positions the better.

Really, that is the trickiest part. At the same time, before bed, drink a lot of water (I drank over half a gallon usually.... but I can drink quite a bit I guess). Alcohol may help. Make sure you're tired. Go to bed. Sometimes you won't even make it to sleep before having to go, which is a mild failure. But in that case just go while lying down, and sleep wet. Or change and try again is fine, have done both. Other times you will get to sleep but wake up an hour or two later. This put me pretty alarmingly awake, but still just go right there in your bed (holy shit did I mention plastic sheets and good diapers???????). Anyways this waking up and not making it to sleep will likely happen for a couple weeks, maybe more. But then once you get used to waking up, going, then going back to sleep, eventually you hit a point where you wake up, start to pee, and then fall back asleep before you're done. You just gotta be tired enough, or used to it enough I guess. But this is what happened. Anyways this is the next major milestone, because you end up waking up wetter than you were when you went to sleep. It's pretty much the end too, because very shortly after (a few more days of this) I had my first incident of not waking up at all, or at least as far as I remembered. I was doubting myself that it even really happened, perhaps I DID wake up but just forgot about it because I was tired. However I kept trying. The second legitimate one happened not the next night, but within a week or so. Once it happened this second time I knew the first time was legit as well. This is probably where I should have stopped. But I kept going. I slowly started decreasing the amount of water I drank before bed, and stopped using alcohol (I would just do a shot of vodka or two to hopefully dull some senses slightly). Not every night was a "success", but the successes were becoming more frequent. Eventually I got down to just needing a glass of water before bed to guarantee a "success". This was a relief as all that water was kind of a pain... Decreasing water even further, I didn't even need to drink water before bed, just as long as I didn't use the bathroom right before sleep, I might wake up wet. (depends on how hydrated I was that day I guess)

I thought I was safe in that I was only used to bedwetting while wearing a diaper. In a lot of ways this might be true, but once you're at the point I is/was at (I stopped, but I never feel truly 100% "cured"), accidents can happen when you least expect it.

It's done one good thing for me I guess, is that I never get totally blackout drunk anymore, unless I am doing it with intent to wake up wet. (learned this the hard way)

I'd go back to it, I love it, but my living situation doesn't really work right now for it. So just have to make sure I go to the bathroom before bed every night...

Feel free to ask any more details if you want me to get more specific. I could probably write a book on it.
