Most pump and dumps don't have partnerships with Microsoft cloud services to support their infrastructure on an easy to access/use/setup/purchase basis. They also are the only altcoin IPO that has proven to be a worthy investment, every other IPO was a flat out cash grab or quickly went under its sale price. I happen to work for a company that is intimately involved in Microsoft Azure's back-end, I talk to the Azure guys, they aren't moving any mountains but there is some real industry attention on DApps and particularly Ethereum. There are people in Microsoft offices having meeting discussing blockchain-based decentralized applications and how to support them and monetize them on their own network. Shitcoin, this is not.

I've traded BTC and altcoins for years now, I've made insane gains on altcoins, including plenty of riding pump and dumps - FWIW ETH is in my opinion currently the clear #2 to Bitcoin in potential for widespread usage of a cryptocurrency. No altcoin project is perfect, but ETH's history and distribution is arguably less sordid than even BTC's. Most altcoins are shitcoins, some of them are decent projects that hit a brick wall/fail/wither on the vine, very few... ok a few of them are good projects with talented dev teams and honest intentions of doing something innovative. There is almost certainly one or two altcoins that exist right now that will be worth billions in marketcap in the next few years, assuming the whole BTC thing doesn't fail or get legislated into obscurity worldwide. Not saying ETH is one of em, not saying I know which ones they are, I'm just a speculator who likes a few ponies with some astronomical risk/reward ratios on their backs and good (relatively speaking in crypto-space) "fundamentals" for lack of a better term.

I've done more x20's than I can count, a few x50's and one time a solid x100+ return on investment in altcoins. Nothing surprises me in crypto trading, except people's unwillingness to recognize any opportunities besides the ones they're currently riding.
