I think that's fair. I'll be honest that I've purposely avoided such industries since I like more security in my jobs. The people I've known that worked in those industries for high pay, they just sock as much money away and know they can be let go at any moment. Congratz on having the opportunity to take such a position and hope it accelerates your progress towards FI.

I'm currently reading a book called "The Courage to be Disliked". Maybe it could help you. I'm just concerned when I know someone with low self-esteem, because in my own family, I've seen narcissists take advantage of people with low self-esteem. People with low self-esteem tend to be easier to control and manipulate. Perhaps something to examine within yourself.
