Hello everyone, u/JManUWaterloo from churningcanada.ca here. Some folks over at Chexy.co have reached out to us regarding a potential partnership. As I mentioned yesterday in our update post, we are committed to consulting with the community whenever the topic of monetization comes up. We had mentioned that we have no intention of monetization, and well, to be honest, we weren’t expecting anyone to reach out.

I had a substantial in-depth discussion with u/esux20 just prior to this post, and we both agreed that since Chexy is offering a benefit to the end user, without influencing our editorial integrity, we don’t see any current issues with them partnering with us.

Now, I want to hear your thoughts. Do you have ideas for how this partnership could go? Do you have an objection to our use of this service? Do you have other concerns?

The primary use of the funds that we get from this partnership would likely only be enough to cover some costs, so please let us know your thoughts on this matter. If you have an objection to this, we want to hear it, if you just downvote this, there’s no way for us to understand or address your concerns.

This post is a proposal to establish a commercial relationship, and community consultation will be followed by implementation discussions with the commercial partner, in this case, Chexy. The community will be updated on the ultimate resolution, regardless of whether it is a final partnership or mutual cancellation.
