I think the sfm team is such a downgrade from Torrian. Like i respect them as animators and they are good animators in their own ways its just that i think the quality of the battles fell so hard.

Its no coincidence that the most memorable, popular and favoured fights on most peoples tier lists are the older 3d animated fights like: Raiden vs Wolverine, Snake vs Sam, Dante vs bayonetta, Hulk vs Doomsday etc. The quality on those fights are out of this world and are probably a big reason for death battles rise in popularity.

When i heard Raiden vs excal was gonna be in 3d i immediatly thought of Raiden vs Wolverine and got hyped only to quickly remind myself that those days are long gone. 3d fights used to be such a treat when i knew how consistently good 3d fights were but now the standards are lower and i got expectations for 3d fights as much as i got for sprite animations (sprite anims are generally NOT bad i just expect a 3d fight to be alot more) or infact even lower (especally after shao kahn and batgirl vs Spider-gwen).

Again no offense to any of the animators they are all talented individuals i am just saying what i truly feel.
