look I’m not saying they can do like Hamilton vs Cuphead and I’ll be fine with it

But I guess I’ve stopped caring about the matchup itself, like while I understand some people have technically more thematic and debatable matchups, I’ve just never really got into the “nemesis bloodryche” style matchups where most of them end up being “guy from niche thing I don’t give a shit about” or whatever

It’s probably because I recognize death battle as not just a vs show but as a piece of mass media so there’s not just connections and debate you need to worry about, but banter, music potential and popularity of the specific characters to worry about

and the fact that I’m kind of jaded on vs debates in general
